To Love an AngelOf all the stars in the sky, Sothis was the brightest. The radiance of her -- and I call upon her in memory as female now because she has become so. At the time she, like all other angels, was without gender -- encased her in a shroud of blue that seared to the touch. She was like our Father in that regard. Impossible to see, impossible to not become enamored by.To Love an Angel by ~EvelynNorth
I sent her keening songs in greeting and joy. Together we sang praises to God, and for a time we were pleased with this alone, for all angels adored their Creator.
Lucifer, then, was cast out. Not long after him fell the Watchers, and all once again was perfect. But something grew in my heart more and more as Sothis became closer to me. On the night she threw down her brightness, stopped shining for the worlds around her for just that moment, I knew I would have her. Angels don't make love in your human sense, but we were more arduous in our passion than you can imagine, for a human is bound to one form while angels are more -

Outrageous BazookaThe sun set to the east over the cliffside, but Bazooka had to get these people to safety. A madman stalked them, hunted them like some sick freak. Bazooka smoked his cigar while holding onto the jagged rocks with one bare, bulging arm that defined everything it meant to be a man. It was a good day.Outrageous Bazooka by ~EvelynNorth
Of course there was Katherine. She was mysterious, a total babe, and just independent enough to be attractive. She didn't question Bazooka but damn, when she grilled him it was sexy. The Mage and the DemonPreparing a summoning is next to impossible in this world now. Hell harpies screech overhead. They cackle and tease that, not only am I doomed to fail, but the Beast will surely find me. I ran from him, I can't hide from him. The jump up and down over and over, throwing small rocks at my feet for fun.The Mage and the Demon by ~EvelynNorth
What do they know?
With the flick of a wrist, I whisper the vanishing incantation. The crones recognize the black smoke surrounding them but still laugh at my inevitable fate as dark flames envelope their sagging frames and featherless wings. Their shrill cries echo through the cavern after they disappear, thrown into the Hellpit they climb out of to prey on humans every night. If I'm still here when they return, my end truly is sealed. The Beast hears everything the demons whisper. Fear sends raw energy through me, even as the tangled thorn tattoo burrows its way up my arm.
I wince and curse. This isn't a novel experience, and I ignore the agonizing sensation of magic forcing its way thr
